Joanne Hyppolite
Joanne Hyppolite was born in 1969 Haiti and later when she grew up she move in to the United States Boston Massachusettes. When she was young she liked to read books in the local library in her hometown. When Joanne Hyppolite was 12 she began to write her own stories after reading all the books at home. After she graduating from Boston Latin School she went to the University of Pennsylvania and she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in creative writing.
When Hyppolite writed the story the story was mostly influenced by her mother told about Haiti when she was young. Another author called Kristin Hunter Lattany she was a influenced author to Hyppolite because when she was a child she read her story and also when Hyppolite grew up and started to wor she was encoraged to become a children's writer after taking class from Lattany.

Amy Tan was born on February 19, 1952 in Oakland, California. She is an Asian American writer and known for her written tales of emotional problems between Chinese American mothers and daughters that are separated by generational and cultural differences. She began writing fiction.Her first novel was “The Joy Luck Club”, Amy made many accomplishments in her life, she received the Commonwealth Club Gold Award for fiction and the American Library Association’s Best Book for Young Adults Award. Also, she was on the 'New York Times' best seller for about 9 months.
