This semester we have learned a lot of things. So the first semester we talked about the book shooting an elephant that was written by George Orwell. We then read a quick summary about "Namesake"  from our literature book and we learned about Indian food. During that time we watched "Meet the Patel's that was a Indian movie. about a guy name Ravi Patel. During that time we read the the book "Namesake" that was written by Jhumpa Lahari. So far, we read five chapters of the book and I think the story is getting better each chapter.

          I enjoyed this semester because I learned a lot of things. One thing that i enjoyed was trying Indian that

I have never tried before. Both "Namesake" and "Meet the Patel's" had many things in common with each other.   The thing that made it common is their Culture, both stories are based on Indian people. Both even had a brother and sister who had to experience living both American and Indian culture which can be difficult for them and their family.
